E-ducate
America

Educational Programs , Curricula, and Resources for
Home Schoolers, Charter Schools, and Classroom Innovation
At E-ducate America, our mission is to provide individuals of all ages, in any learning environment, with those pricipal skills which empower them to become participating, self-supporting, active members of our diverse society and enable them to become self-motivated life-long learners.

Why is each membership--your membership, regardless of the level--so important to us?

For the forseeable future, and most definitely over the next several years while we are building--and fully populating--the E-ducate America program, we will be facing some massive expenses.  Massive, that is, for a non-aligned effort to provide positive alternatives to the programs currently available. We do not enjoy the luxury of the alumni groups who provide most universities with a greated part of their support. Nor, realistically, do we have the ability to fund our research and development activities with legal mandates and tax dollars. Which leaves us relying entirely on the philanthropy of American business and the generosity of people who think there are better ways to learn than those to which today's students are being exposed year after year after year.

We would like to be able to use a budget of several million dollars every year to continue identifying or creating instructional curricula and materials focused on giving high school graduates the immediate alternative of enrolling in 4-year academic universities or entering rewarding career paths in today's high-skilled. multi-national workplace.

Yes, as time goes on, we will be seeking out larger grants, but it takes talent, time, and money to be able to do the research in this area as well.

You can become a vital part of our site development team for only $5.00 a month.

Your participation as a basic "Sponsors' Wall" builder at only $60.00 per year [
$5.00 per year] can be joined with 11 other builders and cover the $60.00 monthly cost of maintaining and expanding a single Topical or Thematic page.

Even with standardized page formats, it costs at least $300.00 to create a single curricular plan, instructional material unit, or comprehensive lesson plan and integrate it into the overall domain schema.

Each subject and topic (at the moment, we see approximately 737 of them) should have at least its own researcher/writer/editor whose entire job is to make sure that subject or topic provides the most comprehensive and current information and proposed plans for introducing it to the learner (with or without the need for a classroom or a teacher).  And think how much stronger that learning can become in a mentored, co-operative classroom environment.

CURRENTLY PROPOSED ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT MEMBERSHIPS
FOR TEACHERS, INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS

These membership classifications are scheduled for release as of 1 July 2007.  As of now, this program is still in its infancy.  In reality, it continues being formatted, and only very few materials have been identified or developed.  Memberships in these classifications will provide the necessary funding to expand the effort on these programs.  Because these programs are in their infancy, the enrollment fees stated below will be extended at least through the end of the 2008-2009 Academic year.

Each of the following membership classifications include downloadable access to reproducible texts and other materials available through the IVE League Text Resources Data Base. It's intent is to reduce the cost of acquiring and maintaining up-to-date instructional materials by individual teachers or for their use throughout an entire school district. The membership and sponsorship fees are identified as special fund resources and are intended to provide a stable financial base which will allow perpetuation and expansion of this program.

Teaching Membership - $50 per year

All benefits of individual membership (above) plus authorization to download and reproduce IVE-developed text materials and teaching plans for classes which are being taught by that teacher.

PLUS: reduced fees for instructional seminars which will be held from time to time, during off-schedule periods, in various areas of the country.

PLUS: Depending on available funding, IVE member teachers will also be eligible for curriculum development stipends, to develop:

Course Curricula
Thematic Unit Plans
Lesson Plans
Instructional Focus Texts
other Instructional Materials.

Level 1 Institutional Membership - $500 per year -- Individual schools and school districts with student populations under 1,000 students.

All benefits of basic commercial membership (above) plus authorization to download and reproduce IVE-developed text materials and teaching plans for any classes being offered by the licensed school or within the licensed district. Distribution outside if the specific license parameters is prohibited.

PLUS reduced fees for up to five school/district staff members at instructional seminars which will be held from time to time, during off-schedule periods, in various areas of the country.

Level 2 Institutional Membership - $1,000 per year -- School districts, with student populations between 1001 and 5,000 students.

Level 3 Institutional Membership - $2,500 per year -- School districts with student populations under 5,001 and 10,000 students.

Level 4 Institutional Membership - $5,000 per year -- School districts with student populations over 10,000 students.

All benefits of basic commercial membership (above) plus authorization to download and reproduce IVE-developed text materials and teaching plans for any classes being offered by the licensed school or within the licensed district. Distribution outside if the specific license parameters is prohibited.

PLUS reduced fees for up to 10 school/district staff members at staff development and instructional seminars which will be held from time to time, during off-schedule periods, in various areas of the country.

PLUS (for Level 3 Institutional Membership) provision of one 2-day staff development seminar in use of the IVE Instructional Methods and Materials to be held at a site provided by the school/district. This seminar may, at the option of the school/district, be held on-site during normal instructional periods (providing instructors with the opportunity to see IVE methods in a classroom environment) or off-site during off-schedule periods. The school/district is responsible for actual travel and lodging fees for the seminar provider.

PLUS (for Level 4 Institutional Membership) provision of two 2-day staff development seminars in use of the IVE Instructional Methods and Materials to be held at a site provided by the school/district. Seminars may, at the option of the school/district, be held on-site during normal instructional periods (providing instructors with the opportunity to see IVE methods in a classroom environment) or off-site during off-schedule periods. The school/district is responsible for actual travel and lodging fees for the seminar provider.
